PEACE PAVILION

Between Us: Muslim Journeys

A Public Humanities Storytelling Initiative

Between Us creates opportunities for dialogue, reflection, and community engagement through public humanities storytelling and shared lived experiences.

Peace Pavilion is rooted in the humanities through oral history, cultural storytelling, public history, religious studies, and facilitated community dialogue. Through exhibitions and public programs, the organization creates spaces for reflection, interpretation, and engagement with the lived experiences that shape our shared civic and cultural life.

Why It Matters

At a time of growing distance and persistent misrepresentation, Between Us creates space for stories and perspectives that are often unseen or unheard. Through personal narratives, cultural storytelling, and public dialogue, the initiative foregrounds lived and collective experiences that invite reflection on identity, belonging, memory, and shared civic life.

By creating opportunities for audiences to encounter aspects of their own lives reflected in the experiences of others, the initiative encourages curiosity, reflection, and meaningful community engagement. It offers welcoming spaces where conversation, interpretation, and connection can emerge naturally across diverse communities.
