Your gift pays for the hours. A trained facilitator sits with one person, and a life that was never written down is recorded in that person’s own voice.
No one else is coming to do this. The institutions that decide what this country keeps have had four hundred years. Our lives are still not in the record.
So we are building it ourselves. Every life recorded is captured, preserved, protected, and carried into public life — through exhibitions, public programs, education, and research. Unsira, designed by Peace Pavilion, is what we are building to do this work at scale.
