A Story Day is an in-person gathering — hosted in your city and guided by our team — where neighbors come together to record the lived experiences that make up their community. Fund one, organize one, or offer a space, and help those voices take their place in the American record.
Your support covers the people, the equipment, and the time it takes to gather a community and record its lived experience properly.
A welcoming, in-person event in your community — a library, center, museum, or place of worship — open to neighbors of every generation.
Our team brings the equipment, the trained facilitators, and the method — with consent settled before anything is recorded.
Everything recorded that day becomes part of the Living Memory Collection, held on the terms each person sets.
Tell us about your community and how you would like to help — funding, organizing, or offering a space — and we will follow up to plan a day with you.
